About us
LIC Europe, based in the United Kingdom, works alongside European partners such as Progenes in France, and in close connection with our New Zealand headquarters. Together, we help French dairy farmers access New Zealand genetics specifically developed for grass-based systems — genetics selected for fertility, robustness, efficiency, and lifetime performance.
France’s dairy industry is built on balanced systems, and long-term herd performance. With a temperate climate and reliable rainfall, many French dairy farmers who operate grazing systems understand that pasture, fertility, and efficiency are central to profitability. A strong focus on milk quality, animal welfare, and value-added dairy products continues to shape modern French dairying.
These principles closely mirror those of New Zealand’s dairy system — where cows are bred to efficiently convert grass into high-quality milk, season after season. This shared production philosophy creates a natural fit for New Zealand pasture-based genetics in French dairy herds.
LIC genetics are proven in pasture-based environments where efficiency matters most. In France, these genetics support resilient cows that perform across different grazing systems that can also include supplemented feeding regimes — helping farmers build profitable herds aligned with modern production and sustainability goals.
