Genetics That Perform Across Brazil’s Diverse Dairy Systems
The LIC International team is proud to bring our very best genetic offerings to Brazilian dairy farmers.
About us
LIC International, based at our New Zealand headquarters, works alongside trusted global partners such as South America‑based Gensur to connect Brazilian dairy farmers with proven New Zealand pasture‑based genetics. LIC has been active in the Brazilian market with Gensur since 2016, supporting genetic progress across a wide range of farming systems.
With its head office in southern Brazil and a dedicated team of sales consultants operating nationwide, Gensur plays a key role in delivering LIC genetics to both large‑scale New Zealand‑style pasture dairy farms and smaller family‑owned businesses. Together, we help Brazilian farmers build productive, efficient herds that perform in grass‑fed systems and support long‑term farm profitability.
Brazil’s dairy industry is defined by scale, diversity, and rapid development. From large, progressive pasture‑based operations to smaller family‑run farms, Brazilian dairy producers are increasingly focused on efficient feed utilisation, fertility, and resilient cows that can perform consistently under varied climatic conditions.
New Zealand’s pasture‑based dairy system shares many of these priorities. LIC genetics are developed in environments where cows must efficiently convert grass and home‑grown forage into milk, while maintaining fertility, durability, and lifetime productivity—traits well suited to Brazil’s evolving dairy systems.
