Pasture‑Based Genetics That Perform in Indonesia.
The LIC International team is proud to bring our very best genetic offerings to Indonesian dairy farmers.
About us
LIC International, based at our New Zealand headquarters, works alongside global partners such as Jakarta‑based Ingenara to connect Indonesian dairy farmers with the best of New Zealand’s pasture‑based genetics. This partnership began in 2026, with a shared goal of accelerating genetic progress and supporting sustainable improvement across the Indonesian dairy sector.
Indonesia’s dairy industry is on a clear growth path, driven by increasing demand, cooperative‑based farming models, and a strong focus on lifting herd performance through better genetics and management. Across many regions, dairy farmers are working to improve fertility, feed efficiency, and lifetime productivity, often within grass‑ and forage‑based systems supported by supplementary feeding.
Ingenara was established to help drive industry advancement through access to elite genetics and practical farming solutions. Working closely with the farmer cooperative Perpami, Ingenara supports genetic improvement at herd level while also contributing to broader gains in farm and animal management. Many Perpami members have been trained in New Zealand‑style dairy systems, creating a strong fit between LIC genetics and local farming practices.
Developed in pasture‑based environments where efficiency and robustness are essential, LIC genetics offer Indonesian dairy farmers a proven pathway to building more productive, resilient herds, supporting long‑term progress across Indonesia’s evolving dairy industry.
